Parent Guidleines
*Please don’t treat Kidlandia as a day care center. We encourage all
parents to participate in the activities.
*Children can easily get lost. Please locate a good rendezvous point in the
Festival & let your children know where it is, in case they get lost.
(The Security Booth is a great place).
*We will be placing bands on all young children. Please make sure you take
your child to the Box Office or Security Booth for a band, if you didn’t
receive them when you checked in. It's a good idea to write the parents' name
and cell phone # on the band with a Sharpie. Please, for safety, do not put the
childs' name on the band.

Festival Volunteer Code of Ethics:
As a Reggae Rising Volunteer:
1. I realize that I am subject to a code of ethics similar to that which
binds the professionals in any field.
2. I, like them, assume certain responsibilities & expect to account for
what I do in terms of what I am expected to do. I will honor the goals, rules,
& regulations of the festival.
3. I interpret “Festival Volunteer” to mean that I have been
accepted as a "partner-in-service" & I expect to do my work according to
standards set out by the festival organizers.
4. I understand that the shirt (marked staff) is my uniform.
5. I will refrain from using alcohol and/or drugs before or during my work
shifts, or at any time while wearing my staff shirt.
6. I understand that as a Volunteer, I represent Reggae Rising and will act
in a manner that reflects positively on the event.
7. I promise to take to my work an attitude of open mindedness, to be
willing to be trained for it, & to bring to it my interest &
attention.
8. I believe my attitude toward Volunteer work should be professional. I
believe that I have an obligation to my work, to those who direct it, to my
colleagues, & to the public.
9. Being eager to contribute all that I can to the goals of festival, I
accept this code of ethics, to be followed carefully & cheerfully.

Volunteer Obligations:
Volunteers are one of the mainstays of this festival - without their
dedication & effort, we could not put the Festival on each year. Each
Volunteer represents the "face" of Reggae Rising, & thereby is an
ambassador for our organization. Reggae Rising expects that they will be
enthusiastic, friendly, helpful, & professional at all times during their
volunteer shifts. It will be important to report on time & ready to work to
all shifts to which you have been assigned.
In addition, Volunteers are required to:
* Sign & return one copy of their Festival Volunteer Agreement and Time
Sheet.
*Attend any trinings or crew meetings scheduled by your Coordinator.
*I understand that if I don't fulfill my commitment, I owe Reggae Rising the
price of one (1) full weekend ticket, camping, and a T-shirt
Individuals who miss the training meetings & do not communicate with
their Crew Coordinator are subject to being replaced.
